How to Apply
An internship with Friends allows you to take your education outside! You can gain work experience and earn school credit working with us in one of four program areas: Habitat Restoration, Trails, Nursery Production, and Communications/Outreach and Education.
Our internships are designed in partnership with your institution and have the flexibility to accommodate student schedules. Internships are 10-12 week programs that coincide with the winter, spring, summer, and fall academic terms. Students are eligible to earn 0-4 credits during your term with us depending on the requirements and restrictions of your academic program.
The time commitment required per credit varies from institution to institution, so check in with your career development office or academic advisor before committing to an internship. Internships with Friends are designed as entry-level experiential learning opportunities and require no previous or related experience to apply.
If you are interested in applying for one of these positions, please review the program areas, complete the application, and submit it to volunteer@bufordpark.org. We are no longer accepting applications for Fall 2025 internships. We will start accepting applications for Winter term in December 2025.
